Yakushigama is the name of the pottery studio Chugai Touen in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, a city of pottery with a history of over 1000 years.
Chugai proposes modern "Japanese decorations" such as zodiac figurines, beckoning cats, hina dolls, May dolls, lucky charms and seasonal decorations using the seto novelty technique that has been handed down in Seto since the Meiji era. It is a product brand of Touen.
The maneki-neko is a traditional populer Japanese figurine which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner.

The figurines are often displayed in various shops, generally near the entrance.
